They are there..The Daffodils!!

I just wanted everyone to know that I went out front today and underneath the 20+" of snow are the daffodils. I had noted that last year my first picture of the new shoots was taken on Feb 22..so I wondered what the snow/blizzards harsh weather had done to them this year...Folks they are on time..But as we are expecting more snow, wind and cold I am not going to go out and take pictures...We can look at last years pics..How does that sound..? Instead I will be down with the new pups, taking pictures of them and you follow me on my Puppy Watch Blog...and watch the puppies grow..K

My Orange Day Lilies are just georgous..so full of bloom. And the white one rivals it for attention..

The orange day lily’s scientific name is Hemerocallis fulva. “Hemerocallis” comes from two Greek words which mean “beautiful” and “day.” The “day” part refers to the brevity of the blooms, since a day lily stem may carry a cluster of several buds, yet only one or two of these will be in bloom at a time—and the large blooms will last only a day.
We have had the orange day lilies in our family since I was a child and moved them from house to house..These are blooming in front of my house..

The Wild Purple Violet....

This is one of my favorite flowers, the wild purple violet..I love them, I know many people think they are weeds, but I don't, I appreaciate their beauty and color. I love the shape of the flower petals. I protect them each year by not mowing them down and hoping more will bloom the next year..this is the first one I have seen blooming this year and am sure there are more to follow.

On the ground level.

This is the 2nd year for the little J. Maple tree.

A quick look at eye level..Pink, red, & yellow

What a beautiful, colorful front yard I have. The pink cherry tree is in full bloom, the yellow goldfinch has a seed in his mouth, and the red cardinal is scouting in the hedge for seeds. The feeders are a hit this year. Where is Dudley? around!!
